[public][forced public like everything this week]

I was the eleven year old version of myself the other day, but I didn't have any of my regular memories so if you met me then with my owl, Hedwig, I'm usually not that age at all. I'm actually eighteen.

Sort of miss being that young sometimes.

Yeah, that is a good word for it. It's simpler when you're young sometimes. I miss it when it's simpler like that.

What were you doing in the park? Did you have fun?

Hermione found me, and she explained about everyone that knew me.

Wait, did you have a tea party all week long?

Oh, I see! That certainly would have made things a little easier for you.

I did have lots of fun! We sang songs and had all these lovely cakes. The company was a little strange, but they were all very charming.

They kept calling me Alice, but a very nice man explained to me that they thought I was a book character.

I did! I found it curious how we all managed to stay there for so long, but I suppose it was the Rift's doing.

Although now, I'm very tired.

Yeah, it was I think. I enjoyed it, but I'm grateful to be back.

They sound strange. Strange but charming. It wouldn't be the first time.

Do you mean Alice in Wonderland then? I heard that story in school before I came to Hogwarts. It's a good one, and now I know exactly who it is that you were.

You should sleep when you can Luna. Now that you've finally been able to leave the tea party.

[identity profile] magicandpudding.livejournal.com 2011-11-01 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
Yes! That's right.

I'm afraid I've not heard of it myself until now. I wasn't very familiar with a lot of Muggle literature when I was little. My Mum liked Shakespeare and a lot of poetry, though. Keats, Yeats.

I think that's what their names were.

I plan on reading it when I next get the chance, it does sound like a really good book.

I will, Harry. It'll be very nice to go to bed now.

You should read it. I think you would like it quite a lot and now you've had the personal experience with the characters straight from the book. You'd like it even more now.

That sounds right to me.

Good.

And very good. Sleep well, Luna.

[identity profile] magicandpudding.livejournal.com 2011-11-01 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly right!

Although it's a shame that it's over now. But still, it's rather good to have had that experience - not many others will have had that chance.

Thank you, Harry. Goodnight. :)
